Moonward: A Free Daily Guessing Game Built on Real Surveys
Guess the percentages behind six real survey questions a day, and fly your rocket toward the Moon.
Moonward, a free daily guessing game built on real surveys, gives everyone the same six questions every day. For each one, you guess the percentage, and close guesses fly your rocket toward the Moon, about 240,000 miles away. It plays in a web browser on your phone or computer, with no app download and no sign-up needed.
How to play
- Read the question and guess the percentage.
- Pick how sure you are: Not sure (1x miles), Sure (2x) or Very sure (3x). Higher multipliers earn more miles but need a closer guess.
- See the real answer, then keep going. Try to reach the Moon in six guesses, then share your spoiler-free score with your crew.
FAQ
Is Moonward free?
Yes. Moonward is free to play, and no sign-up is needed. Signing in is optional and unlocks extra rocket designs; ten more unlock with daily streaks. Rocket designs are cosmetic and never change scores.
Where do the questions come from?
Every question comes from a published survey. Most come from YouGov and Pew Research Center; others come from sources including Gallup, AP-NORC, The Harris Poll, Bankrate, Ipsos, Marist Poll, Monmouth University Polling Institute and CivicScience. After each mission, your mission report links to every question's source, with the survey dates and the sample size where published.
Is it like Wordle?
In some ways. As with Wordle, everyone gets the same puzzle each day, you can build a daily streak and you share a spoiler-free result. Moonward is not affiliated with Wordle.
Is it like Family Feud?
Both are built on how people answered surveys, but the task is different: Family Feud asks you to name the top answers, while Moonward asks you to guess the percentage of people who gave an answer. Moonward is not affiliated with Family Feud.
